Thetis Island Community Meeting: Sunday 22nd at 2 pm

I'm hosting a Community Meeting this Sunday, September 22^nd, at 2 p.m. at the Forbes Hall Community Centre, Thetis Island. The meeting is open to all Thetis Island and Area G residents. I'll review what we've been up to for the last two years. This informal setting will have plenty of time for questions and answers.
 
Agenda:

• What is the purpose of the CVRD, and where does its authority come from?
• The role of Improvement Districts and Islands Trust relating to the CVRD
• The difference between Regional, Sub-Regional and Local services within the CVRD
• How Thetis Island fits in with the rest of Area G (e.g. Saltair, Penelakut, Ruxton, etc.)
• Regional Recreation 
• Thetis Island Community Dock
• Grants
• Recycling
• Public Transportation
• Working with Thetis Island Community Groups
• Advocacy (e.g. high-speed internet)
• Q & A 

If there is any other topic or issue that you would like me to address, please don't hesitate to let me know in advance, and I will do my best to work it into my update.
