Repair Fair Profile: Clothing Repairs
Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 9:14AM Currently our culture is known for its disposable fashion. Buy something, wear it a while and then move it along, often to the landfill. That is not the culture on Thetis Island, we expect our clothes to last. We are looking for quality in what we buy and when our clothes tear or zippers break, we want to repair them.
At our Repair Fair we have assembled a talented group of clothing repair MacGyvers to help you with your clothing fixes: Visible Mending Zipper repairs Darning (socks) Knitting repairs
Bring your clothes and they will share their knowledge and skills on restoring your wardrobe. Sometimes items may be beyond repair and the MacGyvers will provide information and opportunities for repurposing.
Look through your closet and bring your favourite clothes back to life.
The Repair Fair is Saturday May 3rd, from 10-2 pm at Forbes Hall.
