The People’s Apothecary Garden - Plant of the Week #8 - Comfrey
This invasive plant should never be ingested as it’s considered toxic - to both humans and livestock! But (but!) it has been used as a poultice for centuries to help heal joint pain, sprains, strains, bruises, and sore muscles. It’s also considered a powerhouse in the permaculture garden and can be used to activate compost, brewed into a nutrient rich compost tea, and is an excellent mulch.
