Free Blade Sharpening

FREE sharpening of circular carbide tooth saw blades for the Thetis Islander!!!

It seems we live in an age where waste seem not to matter and climate 'goes down the drain' - as you know our garbage from CVRD is exported to the US (the burnable stuff!)!?! I don't want to know what comes out of that chimney. The rest goes to the landfill. And what I can see there are tons and tons and....will there ever be a change...ever...I believe only if you start by yourself!

Well for me avoiding any waste is the best solution. Since I do all kind of 'fixing, reuse and re-purpose' - I sharpen my tools - saw blades etc. too. I sharpened some saw blades today. Some are over 25 years old. So, I thought I could do this for the Thetis Islander too. NO CHARGE!!! I don't need to be another million/billionaire!! :)

If you feel guilty to pay something donate something to our community hall or the Thetis school. BUT please DO NOT bring a box full of blades or blades from friends from wherever or from a contractor or...!!

If you have a dull carbide tip circular saw blade (diameter ~3.5" to ~27") just stop by and drop it off. I will sharpen it. DON'T throw it away even if it has a few broken teeth!!!

AND if you have a broken drill bit - DO NOT throw it away either!! Doesn't matter which size!!! I may can reuse it to make it work on my lathe and/or mill! OR - if it is still long enough - I can resharpen it for you too. Learned how to sharpen drill bits/tools over 40 years ago - still can sharpen the drill bits by hand - no gadget needed!! Please bring both drill bit pieces if you have.

I am usually around but before you stop by please text or call the day before - contact see Thetis phone book.
