Kudos to Thetis Community Spirit
On Tuesday October 14 while waiting for the ferry, my husband, Bruce, went for a bike ride while my granddaughter and I walked our dog. Bruce had an unfortunate mishap involving a hill with a sharp turn and a head-first landing spot in a ditch filled with blackberry bushes.
Thetis helper #1, Richard De Marco, saw Bruce's toppled bicycle and waving arms, so he instantly provided assistance. This almost made him miss the ferry.
When hubby got back to our vehicle, Thetis helpers #2 and #3, Steve and Pam McCulloch, sprang to action with help for loading the bike onto the rack plus offers of first aid for those blackberry wounds. Pam also found me nearby and brought me up to speed with the situation.
The 3 Thetis helpers conversed with us on the ferry to ensure that we were OK to proceed (we were), and Tess De Marco even followed up with a phone call the next day. As Thetis part-timers at Morehaven for 50 years, we've known that Thetis has a unique spirit, and this is a good example of it!
