National Volunteer Week (NVW) is a time to celebrate and thank Canada’s 24 million volunteers, including Thetis Island, without whom so many of Canada’s organizations and programs would not be able to function.

Thanking volunteers for your efforts is not a one time, once a year event so THANK YOU to all volunteers for your constant gift of time and valued efforts! Thetis Island is shining example of how things get done by volunteers. You are engaged in one time, sometime, part time and ongoing efforts supporting our many island groups and organizations.

The theme for National Volunteer Week 2025 is Volunteers Make Waves. It highlights the power, impact and importance of individual and collective volunteer efforts here on Thetis Island and across Canada. Like a wave, volunteering is movement building.Water is in constant motion, always flowing, shifting, and transforming with every powerful wave or quiet ripple. And so is each volunteer’s contribution toward creating impact in our community here on Thetis. Each individual volunteer contribution, big or small, creates momentum and has the power to influence and inspire, joining a wave of positive change.

Looking forward to a planned gathering in September. An invitation to celebrate all things volunteer. More details to follow.

And once again

Thank you

Anne-Marie

begin each day with an attitude of gratitude
