Weather Forecast
Sat-Mon:
After good to excellent overnight recoveries, a generally dry day is expected on Saturday in between systems. Maximum temperatures remain on the low side. On Sunday the next upper trough spreads showers across the Fire Centre, accompanied by slightly moderating daytime maximum temperatures, as this system is originating from the southwest, rather than out of the Gulf of Alaska. Monday features drying and a little warmer over the southern zones as a ridge over the US SW pokes into southern BC but northern zones remain unsettled under a brisk jet-stream.
Tues-Sat (6 to 10 day):
Good confidence on the overall extend pattern although details on the intensity of the system late Tuesday are still unclear. Models develop a significant fall-like system southwest of Vancouver Island on Tuesday morning and rain spreads across most of the Fire Centre during the day. Wednesday is cool and unsettled with widespread showers. Drying and some warming is expected Thursday and Friday as ensembles build an upper ridge just offshore.
